Kids & Teens

The Kid's/Teen Collection site filters the overall digital collection to just show Children's and Young Adult content, which gets kids and teens to the titles they want faster!

You can get the latest issues of magazines & newspapers for free from the library's OverDrive website. Periodicals come in the NOOK periodicals format, which means that you'll need the free NOOK reading app or a supported NOOK device to read.

Library users with a valid library card from any one of Michigan's nearly 400 public libraries can print a pass, either from home or at the library, to one of the 70+ participating cultural institutions at the http://michiganactivitypass.info website. Some cultural partners offer complimentary or reduced price admissions; others, discounts in their gift shop or other exclusive offers for MAP pass holders only.  Each Michigan Activity Pass expires one week from the date it is printed.  A brochure with all the participants listed is available on the website.

For Elementary, BookFlix is top of the list. It's easy to use and includes the "puzzlers" section which can help maintain and build reading skills.
For all grade levels is NoveList K-8 PluseBook Collection and eBooks K-8 Collection.  To find books by grade, age, gender, genre and Lexile.
For grades 4-12 is LearningExpress Library.  It contains skills improvement in math, writing and grammar, reading comprehension, social studies and vocabulary and spelling through tests, ebooks and tutorials.  There are college preps tests for the older students.
Receive SMS alerts on your mobile device to alert you to items that are due soon, items that are overdue or items that are on hold and ready for pickup.
