Join us in-person as Holley Tiret from MSU Extension leads a program on Changing Negative Self Talk.

Human brains have a negativity bias – which is part of our survival. Negative thoughts provide a background of constant worry that makes it more difficult to be self-aware and to relax. Research shows that having more positive thoughts can influence how you see things and how you handle stress. People who have more automatic positive thoughts tend to feel more life satisfaction, and those positive thoughts can act as a buffer when faced highly stressful events. There are techniques you can learn to move from negative to positive thinking.
